Organizing and Productivity have always been a part of my life, even before I ever realized it.

 

Professional Organizing Training & Certificates

* Completion of the ‘Boss Organizer Blue Print’ by Dorothy Breininger (from A&E’s ‘Hoarders’)
 
* Professional Member of NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing professionals)
  – completion of coursework and subscription to the Code of Ethics
  – Residential Management Certificate
  – Currently working on Brain- Based Conditions Certificate for such diagnoses as ADHD and OCD.

The Road to Professional Organizing:

In my former professional life as a Restaurant General Manager, Kitchen Manager, and Training Coordinator, my success was partially due to strong organizing skills and efficient systems in place that made sense to a large group of people, were simple to execute, and maintainable. The rest of my success was due to my skillset learned from my psychology studies at Northern Arizona University, professional training, and a love of coaching and teaching. 

In my personal life, I found myself helping friends and family simplify their lives with minimalism, teaching paper filing, and sensible organization where I am in a position of motivational coach and confidant. I knew I could help them breathe a little better and their sense of relief was a source of fulfillment for me. 

It is while assisting my Grandma (huge fan of elephants) that the trajectory of my career path would change. She insisted I should be helping other people the way I helped family members and friends organize their lives. I informed her that “I wouldn’t even know where to start.” 

The NEXT day Dorothy the Organizer, from A&E’s hit television show ‘Hoarders,’ had an opportunity to be trained as a Professional Organizer through her Boss Organizer Blueprint.

Organization and routine systems have not only allowed my awesome little family of four to survive, but have helped us thrive as well by focusing only on the chaos we can control. 

With an always running 2 year old and an always talking 5 year old, there is not too much we can control outside of that!
